The Challenge

Implement an online system to assist transitioning Rocky Flats employees with selecting their next career path.

Rocky Flats' current mission includes nuclear deactivation and decommissioning, waste management and shipment, special nuclear material removal, environmental cleanup and site closure by December 2006. To address the needs from this pending plant closure, Kaiser-Hill Company, LLC, an environmental remediation company, established the Workforce Transition Program to help the 4000+ employees in need of career transition support. As part of the program, they needed a technology solution to complement the one-on-one career transition services provided by Spherion, a leading staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions company.

Insala's specific challenge: develop, implement, and maintain best practice career transition technology to assist Rocky Flats employees with the next phase of their careers.
